What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Leading and coordinating on-site teams, trades and subcontractors through all phases of construction
• Developing and maintaining construction schedules, sequencing work to optimize efficiency and resource allocation
• Managing project budgets, tracking costs and controlling expenditure against approved forecasts
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols
• Conducting daily site inspections, quality checks and risk assessments
• Communicating with project stakeholders, clients, architects and engineers to keep all parties informed of progress and any issues
• Maintaining accurate site records, documentation and as-built drawings
• Identifying and resolving construction delays, changes and conflicts on-site
• Mentoring and developing site staff and supervising daily operations

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• 5–10 years of construction management or site management experience on commercial, industrial or civil projects
• 5 years of proven leadership experience managing on-site teams and subcontractors
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent safety certification
• First Aid certification
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar construction design software
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling (MS Project or similar) and budget management
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and construction safety compliance
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Authorization to work in the United States
