Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant regulatory frameworks such as FDA regulations and GMP guidelines.
- Lead regular quality audits to evaluate compliance with internal standards, legal requirements, and industry benchmarks like HACCP, CGMP, Six Sigma manufacturing, and Lean management principles.
- Oversee quality inspection processes throughout production to identify defects, ensure adherence to specifications such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and facilitate root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, and regulatory affairs to develop corrective action plans and improve overall product quality.
- Conduct training sessions on quality standards in production, regulatory compliance, and quality systems to elevate team expertise.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to quality assurance and control; analyze data trends to proactively address potential issues before they impact product delivery.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with applicable ISO standards specific to the location or industry sector.
Experience
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a strong focus on quality management within a regulated environment.
- Extensive knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP, and FDA regulations.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits, inspections, and analysis skills necessary for root cause investigations.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies, Lean management practices, and project management tools for process optimization.
- Strong understanding of quality systems including QA/QC procedures, regulatory/legal compliance standards in production environments, and technical specifications like GD&T.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead training sessions and collaborate effectively across departments.
