Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Door to Door Sales Representative role based in Des Moines, IA. The Door to Door Sales Representative will engage with residential homeowners in designated territories, introduce Spartan X’s solar offerings, and educate potential customers on the benefits of switching to solar. Responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, setting and confirming appointments, delivering clear and compelling product presentations, and guiding prospects through the initial stages of the sales process. The role also involves accurately documenting interactions in company systems, following up with interested leads, and collaborating with team members and managers to achieve individual and team sales targets. Representatives are expected to participate in regular training, apply feedback, and represent Spartan X’s brand, values, and professionalism in every customer interaction.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal presentation, and the ability to build trust quickly with homeowners.
- Proven or transferable Sales skills, with comfort in door-to-door or face-to-face selling and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Experience or aptitude in Training and coaching, including openness to ongoing product, sales, and compliance training.
- Background in Sales Management or leadership is a plus, including experience supporting team performance or mentoring others.
- Exposure to or interest in the Beauty Industry or other client-facing industries is beneficial for understanding customer service and personal presentation.
- High level of self-motivation, reliability, and resilience in a field-based, quota-driven environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Des Moines, IA, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or prior solar, home services, or direct sales experience is a plus.
