JOB TITLE: Die Cast Maintenance Technician
LOCATION: Sparta, IL
SHIFT: 2nd
Compensation: $30 - $40
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing maintenance on machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (required, Unless Stated As Preferred)
Required: High School Diploma or GED and 2 years Machine Technology degree, or similar degree/certification

JOB TITLE: Die Cast Maintenance Technician
LOCATION: Sparta, IL
SHIFT: 2nd
Compensation: $30 - $40
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing maintenance on machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (required, Unless Stated As Preferred)
- Analyzes machine problems by using troubleshooting techniques, repair manuals, drawings or manufacturers’ specifications to determine logical approach to correct the problem.
- Utilizes hand tools and test instruments such as voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter or micrometer, caliper and dial indicators.
- Tests electronic components and circuits to locate defects.
- Replaces defective components and wiring.
- Aligns, adjusts and calibrates machines according to specifications.
- Maintains records of repairs, calibrations and tests.
- Fabricates parts if not commercially available, using machine and hand tools common to the trade. Writes parts list for equipment repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
