Responsibilities
- Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring CPR or first aid assistance
- Manage conflicts or disturbances with professionalism and conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports for record-keeping purposes
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to ensure swift resolution of incidents
Requirements
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts
- Familiarity with security procedures and protocols, including access control and incident reporting
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and visitors
