Responsibilities
International Chapter Lifecycle Management
- Guide prospective international chapters through the formation and approval process, ensuring adherence to bylaws and governance standards
- Conduct annual compliance reviews and manage reporting and officer election requirements
- Maintain accurate chapter records within membership and chapter management systems and prepare regular status reports
- Serve as a knowledgeable and responsive resource for international chapter officers across multiple time zones and cultural contexts
- Design and facilitate virtual onboarding sessions, training webinars, and best-practice workshops
- Identify and recognize high-performing chapters through awards, features, and leadership development opportunities
- Collaborate with regional managers and international counterparts to coordinate joint programs and initiatives
- Develop and manage resources such as toolkits, handbooks, and templates to support chapter programming in diverse regulatory environments
- Track and analyze chapter activity and engagement metrics and present findings to leadership
- Manage grant application processes for international chapters, including eligibility review, disbursement, and impact reporting
- Monitor program-related budgets and prepare periodic financial reconciliations
- Partner with internal education, publications, career services, and governance teams to connect international chapters with relevant programs and benefits
- Represent the international engagement function in internal working groups and at external conferences or meetings
- Support organizational equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect commitments by ensuring programs are globally accessible and inclusive
- Provide staff support to an international committee or advisory body
- Plan and coordinate committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, briefing materials, meeting documentation, and follow-up
- Maintain committee rosters and manage onboarding of new volunteer leaders
- Synthesize member feedback, chapter data, and committee recommendations into actionable proposals
- Coordinate with governance and legal teams to ensure compliance with bylaws and policies
- Lead planning and execution of an international chapter leadership summit, including programming, logistics, travel support, and on-site coordination
- Develop summit content such as keynote sessions, peer-learning workshops, and recognition events
- Represent the organization at international partner events as needed
- Evaluate in-person engagement outcomes and incorporate participant feedback into future programming
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, international studies, communications, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in member services, international programs, volunteer management, or a related role
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with international audiences
- Experience using CRM or membership database systems and virtual meeting platforms
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones
