What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Operations Lead position at Sparkle Squad of Charleston?
Please note: our office is on Johns Island.
Sparkle Squad is one of North America's largest window cleaning companies, serving homes and businesses since 2012. Our Charleston team's bookings are up about 60% this year, and we need a hands-on leader to run day-to-day field operations.
You'll be our senior technician on the tools about 70% of the week. The rest of the time, you'll run the operation: scheduling and dispatch, quality control, training, and getting crews and equipment ready, so the owners can focus on sales and growth.
- Lead and work jobs: window cleaning, pressure and soft washing, gutters, and holiday lighting installs
- Run our bigger commercial jobs on site, including multi-day projects
- Schedule our commercial work, and rework the call center's residential schedule when needed to cut drive time
- Own quality: walk-throughs, spot checks, and fixing the cause of every callback
- Train and coach new techs through our onboarding program and career ladder
- Keep vans, equipment, chemicals, and materials ready to roll every morning
- Lead safety on every job, and stop work when something isn't right
- Be the professional face of the company with homeowners and property managers
- Have 3 years in window cleaning, pressure washing, soft washing, gutter cleaning, or a related trade
- Have 1 year leading a crew as a crew lead, foreman, or supervisor
- Are at home on ladders and roofs, and comfortable working outside in all weather
- Are comfortable with a phone or tablet and scheduling apps like ServiceMinder, Jobber, or Housecall Pro
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record (you'll drive company vans and tow trailers)
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and teammates
- Bonus: soft wash chemistry, water-fed poles, lift certification, holiday lighting, or commercial experience
- $26–$29/hour plus tips and performance bonuses
- A path to Operations Manager as we add crews
- Full-time hours with overtime opportunities
