Hotel Breakfast Attendant

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service during breakfast hours, assist with food preparation, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and customer service skills within a dynamic hotel or restaurant setting. The Breakfast Attendant is essential in ensuring guests enjoy a satisfying and seamless breakfast experience, contributing to the overall guest satisfaction and reputation of our establishment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all items are stocked, fresh, and visually appealing
• Assist guests with food selections, answer questions about menu options, and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables, bussing dishes, and sanitizing surfaces
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for guest transactions
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
• Restock supplies and ensure proper storage of food items in compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery times
• Handle guest inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
• Support catering or banquet events as needed, including setup and breakdown

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality is preferred; kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with excellent communication and phone etiquette
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work mornings during breakfast hours; availability on weekends is advantageous
• Experience with meal preparation, coffee service, or barista skills is beneficial but not required
• Basic cleaning skills for maintaining hygiene standards in dining areas and kitchen spaces
• Friendly demeanor with guest relations skills to ensure a positive guest experience

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
