FitCity Center is Spanish Fork's newest and most exciting fitness destination, and we're looking for certified, energetic, and people-oriented Personal Trainers to help lead the charge in transforming lives, one session at a time.

This is a rewarding position where you'll provide expert guidance, personalized training programs, and encouragement to individuals of all fitness levels. You'll play a key role in helping our patrons build strength, improve wellness, and boost their confidence-while fostering a culture of health and inclusivity.

About the position:

In this role, you'll be more than just a trainer- you'll serve as a motivator, educator and support system for members seeking to improve their physical well-being. You'll develop customized training plans, track progress, and ensure proper form and safety while building meaningful relationships with clients in a supportive fitness environment.

Coaching & Client Support: As a Personal Trainer, your responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing personalized fitness programs based on individual assessments and goals.
• Instructing clients on proper exercise technique and form to prevent injuries and maximize results.
• Monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
• Providing encouragement, accountability, and motivation to help clients stay on track.
• Conducting fitness assessments, consultations, and goal-setting sessions.
• Offering modifications and guidance for patrons with different abilities or limitations.

Facility Support & Safety:

• Ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming workout environment.
• Promoting safe equipment usage and addressing any hazards or concerns.
• Supporting group fitness activities or classes as needed.
• Following all FitCity safety protocols and reporting incidents promptly.

Customer Service & Community Engagement:

• Creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members.
• Greeting clients and checking in on their experience regularly.
• Answering questions, resolving concerns, and providing fitness education with professionalism.
• Representing FitCity as a positive ambassador of health and wellness.
• Building lasting relationships with members, staff, and the broader fitness community.

Position Qualifications

Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

Certifications: Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain the following certifications:

• Personal Trainer Certification from a nationally accredited organization (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, or NSCA).
• CPR/AED Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent).

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of human anatomy, exercise science, and nutrition principles.
• Ability to inspire and connect with people of all backgrounds and fitness levels.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and maintain client records.
• Capacity to remain calm under pressure and adapt to client needs in real time.
• Must be reliable, professional, and team-oriented.

Physical Demands & Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to demonstrate exercises and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, move, and engage physically for extended periods of time.
• Must meet punctuality and attendance expectations, including occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must follow all city and department policies and procedures.
• Must establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, staff, and guests.
