About the Role:
Southwoods Health is seeking a professional Front Office Specialist for our Hubbard Primary Care office. As the first point of contact for our patients, you are responsible for providing a welcoming and proactive experience. You will manage registration, scheduling, and insurance verification while ensuring accurate patient data and exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties:
- Patient Coordination: Greet visitors, manage the check-in/check-out process, and maintain efficient patient flow.
- Communication: Handle incoming calls, route inquiries, and schedule appointments with a professional demeanor.
- Clinical Support: Assist with prescription call-ins and obtain necessary authorizations for medical tests.
- Records & Finance: Update patient demographics and insurance in the EMR, collect co-pays, and manage daily cash deposits.
- Office Support: Prepare patient charts, print necessary labels/forms, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards (OSHA, TJC, etc.).
- Education: Knowledge of medical terminology and business office activities preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with EMR systems is a plus.
- Experience: Previous medical receptionist experience is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a professional demeanor.
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hours will flex to accommodate a rotating Saturday shift (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM) every 4th week.
