Southwoods Health is seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Assistant to join our Executive Administration team. You will work collaboratively with our Credentialing and Provider Enrollment Specialists to ensure the highest level of accuracy and compliance for our medical staff.
What You’ll Do:
- Database Management: Maintain CAQH databases and track expirables (licenses, DEAs, board certifications, and COIs).
- Documentation: Verify required credentials, scan facility documents, and upload records into Intellisoft.
- Administrative Support: Assist with the onboarding process, obtain peer references, and manage credentialing folders.
- Liaison: Act as a point of contact for residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers (NP/PA).
- Operations: Coordinate specialty meetings (agendas and minutes) and provide preliminary research on assigned issues.
- Coverage: Provide administrative backup for the Executive Assistant as needed.
- Education: Associate degree or higher (preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience in Hospital or Provider Enrollment Credentialing is a strong plus.
- Tech Skills: Advanced typing and computer proficiency.
- Soft Skills: High level of organization, critical thinking, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Reliability: Strong prioritization skills and the ability to handle confidential information with care.
