Job Summary
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facility. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to maintenance requests, and working closely with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and facilities
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents, staff, and families in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and appliances
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including storage areas and toolrooms
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure effective communication and problem-solving
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care and service
- Maintaining safety and Cleanliness of facility grounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic experience in maintenance or a related field (willingness to learn and grow with our team)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 4 feet.
- On-call every other weekend (within 30 minute travel of the building on the on call weekend)
