Summary of Position:
The IT Manager is responsible for oversight and management of information technology (IT) functions at Southwest Critical Materials.
Essential Functions: (Assigned job tasks/duties are not limited to the essential functions)
- Provides leadership to the Information technology team
- Develop departmental strategy and tactical plans
- Leads the interface with all information technology (IT) consultants, service providers and vendors to support the ERP and other operational systems
- Performs IT risk management
- Ensuring IT strategies and processes support companywide goals
- Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects based on technology roadmaps for the business
- Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects
- Builds and manages cybersecurity program
- Collaborate with other departments to develop technological solutions fit for purpose
- Develops and manages the IT budget
- Manage information technology projects or systems activities; ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
- Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of information technology projects
- Implement Information Technology best practices based on ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST etc. frameworks.
- Recommends additions or enhancements to the company’s hardware and software environment to provide the highest cost/benefits efficiency
- Coordinates the architecture and integration of the company’s information technology systems
- Ensures compatibility, interoperability, and integration of inhouse and cloudbased computing systems
- Manages the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PC’s operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals
- Designs server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on, and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
- Develop IT policies and procedures
- Implements and manages IT hardware and software asset management
- Develop and implement an IT disaster recovery and business continuity plan

Experience and Training:
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- A bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science or related field
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years’ related experience in managing enterprise resource planning systems e.g SAP, D365, Oracle, database administration, cloud administration, networking and user support and/or training
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud, Office 365, Windows server and client operating systems
- Proven experience in IT/ OT infrastructure planning and implementation
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet pressing deadlines
- Team player that can demonstrate the ability of experience with a large project team

Work Schedule and Personal Protective Equipment:
The incumbent works a 40 hour/week schedule. Position may require weekend or evening work depending on organizational and operational requirements. Ability to work extended hours as operational needs require to support projects. Personal Protective Equipment required for this position includes, but is not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots. All equipment must be MSHA approved as applicable.
