Duties
- Coordinate patient appointments, treatment plans, and follow-up care to optimize clinic workflow and patient satisfaction
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility
- Review and update medical records accurately within Eaglesoft
- Communicate treatment options clearly to patients, explaining procedures, financial responsibilities, and care plans with professionalism and empathy
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality and secure handling of patient information
- Facilitate insurance verification & pre-authorizations
- Provide exceptional front desk support including multi-line phone handling, patient intake, appointment scheduling, and filing of medical records
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with familiarity in dental terminology and health information management systems
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft is a big plus!
- Excellent computer skills
- Exceptional patient service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities
- Ability to review complex documentation accurately while maintaining attention to detail
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with health information management standards is a plus
