**Essential Functions**
- The Assistant Technical Director assists the Technical Director with supervising construction and load-in of scenery for assigned productions.
- Participates in the construction of scenic elements as needed.
- Completes shop improvement and organization projects as assigned.
- May provide some technical drawings for construction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Intermediate and advanced experience in proper and safe use of typical shop tools and equipment, wood and steel construction techniques or other related technical theater fields.
- Knowledge of safe operations of all tools and equipment used in typical theatrical construction and installation for wood and steel (personnel lifts, linesets, etc.)
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs. for 50 feet unassisted.
- Must be able to use ladders as a part of daily tasks.
