SUBR | Assistant/Associate Professor - Dept. of Computer Science DateApril 09, 2026 Position Vacancy Announcements SUBR | Assistant/Associate Professor—Dept. of Computer Science | Position Type: Full-Time Unclassified | Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 | (2 positions) Application Deadline: May 29, 2026 JOB DESCRIPTION: Tenure-track Assistant / Associate Professor position in the Department of Computer Science. The successful faculty must have a genuine commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses, advising undergraduate and graduate students, and supervising research in computer science or related fields. The faculty member must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline and will be expected to teach a full course load, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and facilitate research. A successful candidate will be expected to have an understanding of how individual learning outcomes are assessed and develop dynamic, independent research in areas of big data, cybersecurity, networks, artificial intelligence, data visualization, software engineering, high-performance computing, mobile computing, quantum computing, robotics, and so on. The faculty member is expected to contribute to the academic mission of the department and institution through excellence in instruction, an active research agenda and showing potential for extramural research funding, and meaningful student mentorship. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching - Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the assigned discipline. Develop, revise, and maintain course syllabi and instructional materials in alignment with program and accreditation standards. Deliver instruction in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats as assigned. Evaluate student performance and provide timely and constructive feedback. Maintain regular office hours to support student learning and engagement. Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives. Academic Advising - Advise undergraduate and/or graduate students on academic progression and degree completion. Provide mentorship related to academic, professional, and career development. Monitor student academic progress and provide guidance as needed.
