REPORTS TO: Daily Operations Supervisor

 

BENEFITS: Non-benefited position

 

POSITION SUMMARY: SMCC seeks a reliable and dependable seasonal employee to work up to 40 hours per week to support additional cleaning and maintenance needs associated with the daily operations of the College. Primary responsibilities include general cleaning, trash removal, and basic maintenance of college buildings and grounds. The successful candidate will perform minor repairs, maintain clean and safe facilities, assist with the setup of small events, seasonal fall cleanup, snow removal, and other related duties as assigned under general or direct supervision. The position requires the use of standard custodial equipment, hand tools, and small power tools. Training will be provided.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • General custodial or maintenance experience 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted 
  • Must be at least 16 years old 
  • Must have a valid insurable Maine driver's license 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General custodial or maintenance experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must possess valid Maine driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check and have reliable transportation.
