What You’ll Do 🩺🔐
As a PRN Registered Nurse with Southern Health Partners, you’ll provide quality healthcare to patients at Alleghany Regional Jail while working alongside a dedicated correctional healthcare team. This is a great opportunity for an RN looking for flexible, as-needed work while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing nursing care and assessing patient health needs
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitoring patients and recognizing changes in condition
- Responding to urgent and routine medical needs
- Communicating with providers and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Providing patient education and supporting continuity of care
- Promoting a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment
Qualifications ✅
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Previous correctional healthcare experience is helpful, but not required
