Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Lowndes County Detention Center in Georgia. This part-time opportunity offers consistent every other weekend scheduling with 12-hour shifts, making it a great fit for nurses looking to supplement income while maintaining flexibility during the week.
Correctional nursing offers a unique blend of autonomy, teamwork, and meaningful patient care. You’ll sharpen your assessment skills, work alongside experienced medical professionals, and provide essential healthcare services in a structured and secure environment.

What You’ll Do
- Deliver patient care within scope of practice
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Complete nursing assessments and documentation
- Respond to medical concerns and sick call requests
- Collaborate with providers and healthcare team members
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards and facility procedures
- Provide compassionate, professional care in a correctional healthcare setting
What You Bring
- Current, unrestricted Georgia LPN license
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
- Previous correctional nursing experience is helpful, but not required
