A Day in the Life of a Project Manager
- Lead daily coordination meetings and stay in sync with superintendents.
- Track costs, approve invoices, and ensure financials stay accurate.
- Walk the jobsite, verify specs, and maintain compliance with GDOT and environmental rules.
- Communicate directly with suppliers and subcontractors to prevent delays.
- Submit submittals, RFIs, and updates through Spectrum and FMP.
- Resolve field issues fast and professionally.
- Drive job closeouts and mentor junior PMs.
What You Need To Bring To The Table
- 5 years of heavy civil or GDOT project management experience
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites
- Mastery of pay apps, submittals, RFIs, and closeouts
- Proficiency in project financials and job tracking software
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors
- Commitment to compliance, documentation, and safety
- Ability to read and interpret GDOT plans and specs
- Must meet DOT compliance and pass a background check
