POSITION SUMMARY: As a Lunch Monitor at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and orderly environment during lunch periods. You will supervise students in the cafeteria, enforce school rules and policies, and promote positive behavior among students. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in potentially chaotic situations.

The students balance the rigors of a complete academic course of studies with technical skill training in over 20 career majors. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise students during lunch periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Enforce cafeteria rules and school policies to maintain order and discipline.
- Monitor student behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent disruptions.
- Assist students with cafeteria procedures, such as line formation and cleanup.
- Communicate effectively with cafeteria staff, teachers, and administrators.
- Report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate school personnel.
- Promote a positive and respectful atmosphere among students and staff.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
- Ability to interact positively with students and maintain authority.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to student safety.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
