What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Technician FT position at SOUTHEASTERN BAPTIST THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY?

The Prep Utility Technician is a full-time position that involves a variety of functions consisting of but not limited to: woodworking, framing, drywall, cabinetry, and painting.

Areas of responsibility include: Executing interior and exterior maintenance, repair, and improvement work orders relating to SEBTS apartment flips.

Other tasks may include: Assisting the Prep & Paint Supervisor in any other facility related duties as needed.

On-Call shift duty: This position requires approximately one week every 2 months of after-hours emergency response. See On-Call Supervisor for details.

This position is restricted to current SEBTS students and spouses of SEBTS students

Ability to perform and/or learn basic carpentry skills involving hand and power tools.

Ability to evaluate situations/ scenarios and develop a plan of action to complete given tasks.

Ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, the SEBTS community, and various contractor personnel.

Ability to perform basic physical demands... Walking, lifting, equipment operation.

Must be at least 22 years old.

Must have a clean driving record.

Preferred 1 year construction related experience.
