What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Southeast Petro Distributors?
The Marketing Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to support the Company’s business objectives by helping retain existing accounts and attract new customers, increase fuel volume, and optimize profitability. This role supports marketing and advertising initiatives, including social media activities and participation in petroleum industry and regional commerce association trade shows and events. The position also conducts market research and analyzes data to support the development of product improvements, service enhancements, and strategic marketing efforts.
Requirements:- Design and create eye-catching digital and print ads for the company’s various operating locations, transport equipment, facilities and retail fueling locations, ensuring brand consistency and effective messaging.
- Maintain and curate engaging content for our social media pages, website updates, blog posts, etc., fostering an active and interactive online presence.
- Builds marketing strategy and multi-year plans to define new business opportunities critical to the success of the organization.
- Prepare and organize materials for special events and trade shows, including promotional materials, displays, and signage.
- Track and document event budgets, expenses, invoices and payments to ensure accurate spending.
- Undertake various graphic design projects, contributing to the overall visual aesthetics of the company’s marketing materials.
- Craft compelling product and departmental literature for print, ensuring clear communication of product features and benefits.
- Maintain and keep Southeast Petro website current by regularly monitoring best practices.
- Collaborate closely and cross-functionally with the department leader, supervisors, and team members to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
- Build and execute social media campaigns, including but not limited to:
o Facebook
o Instagram
o Twitter
o LinkedIn
o Google
o YouTube
- Manage reporting (e.g., revenue, retention, pipeline, forecasts, etc.) and monitors/tracks performance to identify opportunities for improving marketing and business development opportunities.
- Manages vendor relationships to ensure efficient and effective management of resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also being a motivated team player.
- Strong communication skills to articulate ideas and concepts effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) to produce high-quality graphics, digital ads, and visual content.
- Experience with videography and photography is preferred but not required.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of e-commerce industry
