What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Mental Health Therapist position at Southeast Healthcare?
We are seeking a compassionate and mission-driven General Mental Health Therapist to join our integrated care team. This position provides outpatient behavioral health services to individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance-use disorders, and other behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and/or group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults as assigned
- Conduct behavioral health assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and diagnostic impressions
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans based on client needs, goals, and progress
- Deliver evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic interventions
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and appropriate referrals when needed
- Coordinate care with internal providers and external community partners to support continuity of care
- Participate in integrated care collaboration with primary care, psychiatry, and support services staff
- Support outreach, engagement, and retention efforts for clients receiving behavioral health services
- Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Current Ohio licensure (LSW/LPC)
- Experience providing mental health counseling in outpatient, community-based, or integrated care settings
- Strong clinical assessment, engagement, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and community mental health principles
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Independent licensure strongly preferred
- Experience working in a community mental health center, FQHC, or integrated healthcare setting
- Experience providing substance use services
- Experience with electronic health record systems
- Experience serving underserved, high-need, or vulnerable populations
