What are the responsibilities and job description for the Connections Associate Weekend Groups - Blankenbaker Campus position at Southeast Christian Church?
We are looking for a Connections Associate to help guide people on their spiritual journey at our Blankenbaker Campus. This role is essential for helping new and existing members feel a sense of belonging and take their next steps of faith. The primary oversight of this role is our weekend groups and weekday Ministers-on-call.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be a key part of our mission to unleash the full force of the church to love people one at a time. This includes:
- Empowering Leaders: Casting a compelling vision for our weekend groups and creating a smooth process for onboarding, training, and coaching new leaders/teachers.
- Facilitating Group Growth: Supporting weekend group experiences that encourage spiritual growth, accountability, and connection.
- Engaging Guests: Assisting attendees and guests at the Connection Center, Next Step Room, Atrium, etc.
- Providing Pastoral Care: Offering support through baptisms, weddings, funerals, hospital visits, and other pastoral needs.

Our Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; degree in Bible, Ministry, or Christian Education preferred.
- 3 years ministry experience in a church setting preferred.
- Ordained pastor or willing to become ordained.
- The ability to explain doctrinal issues and answer questions in a biblical and understandable manner.
- Strong work ethic and a team player who interacts well with staff, members, and guests.
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one.
