Assistant Coach – Junior Varsity Football

Southampton Union Free School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Coach - Junior Varsity Football.

The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach in developing a competitive and positive junior varsity football program while fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development. Responsibilities include assisting with practices, games, student supervision, and ensuring compliance with District, Section XI, and NYSPHSAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the game of football.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively mentor and supervise high school student-athletes.
• Must meet all New York State coaching certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting practices.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive character development.
• Assist with equipment management and maintaining a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
