Assistant Coach Varsity Football

Southampton Union Free School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Coach - Varsity Football.

The Assistant Varsity Football Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the varsity football program, including the development of student-athletes, practice planning, game preparation, and supervision. The successful candidate will promote sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and academic success while ensuring compliance with District, Section XI, and NYSPHSAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the game of football.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor and supervise student-athletes.
• Must meet all New York State coaching certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting practices and game-day activities.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team events.
• Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive team environment.
• Assist with equipment management and maintaining a safe playing environment.
• Support the Head Coach in all aspects of the varsity football program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
