- High school diploma preferred
- Some business and personnel management training is preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, heating, and air-conditioning (Licensure or certification in these areas is a plus)
- Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH regulations related to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Recruit, interview, and hire personnel to maintain proper staffing levels
- Oversee the scheduling of staff to ensure uninterrupted facility operations
- Supervise the purchasing, storage, and distribution of housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry supplies
- Conduct and oversee fire, disaster, and evacuation drills for all shifts
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator
- Participate in the Department Head weekend supervisor rotation
- Be on-call 24/7 to handle facility emergencies and urgent repairs
- Schedule and oversee life safety inspections, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and generators
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of housekeeping, laundry, dietary, HVAC, and facility equipment
