We are looking to Hire for the following Shifts:

Ø  Mon-Fri 3pm to 11pm ;

South Shore Rehabilitation and Nursing, a premiere skilled nursing facility in Freeport, Long Island has immediate openings for enthusiastic and energetic CNA’s  to become part of our dedicated and professional staff. We are looking for individuals who desire a worthwhile career that has purpose and makes a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, our CNAs give direct nursing care to assigned residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comforts needs. Job Responsibilities / Duties:

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.

Skill / Experience Requirements.

         Current NYS CNA Certification Required.

         Previous Long Term Care experience a plus.
