What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS/Infant Toddler Teacher (Early Head S position at South Shore Community Action Council, Inc.?
Core Duties: Provide infants and toddlers with a nurturing, safe, and
healthy environment to help them develop socially, intellectually,
physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and
stage of development in relationship to the overall goal of social
competency. Perform teaching activities in accordance with the Early
Head Start Performance Standards, while assuming a lead role in the
classroom. Involve parents in the educational aspects of the program to
increase their knowledge and understanding of skills and experiences in
child growth, education, and development, specifically with infants and
toddlers. Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned. Core
Qualifications: Minimum Massachusetts Infant Toddler Teacher
Certification and associate or bachelor?s degree in early childhood (or
related field) preferred, or a CDA required as minimum education
requirement. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic or Spanish, or Creole)
Helpful Although Not Required. Experience With Birth-3 Years Population.
Must be able to speak and understand English. Minimum Requirements at
employment: All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and
fingerprint background check; prior to beginning employment. Date of

is found. Valid MA state driver?s license. Must be at least 18 years of
