They manage and coordinate people, activities and available resources to provide a seamless community to residents, future residents, visitors and team members. The Community Manager understands the busy nature of the community and is willing to assist at a moment’s notice.Things You Will DoHire, train and supervise all team members though a positive mentoring approachTake ownership and lead by exampleEmpower team members to take on new challenges and bring new ideas to the forefrontProvide comprehensive feedback to all team members, document and facilitate disciplinary procedures as necessaryConduct on-going training with team membersPrepare and execute community budgetPrepare weekly and monthly reportsEnsure that rent is collected and posted in a timely manner and bank deposits are made immediately and reported to the home officeMaintain open communication with vendors and contractors concerning work scheduling, billing, vendor relations and certificates of insuranceSubmit invoices for payment promptlySuggest rental rate recommendations to Regional ManagerReport liability and community incidents to home officeOversee and approve lease filesAssume responsibility for office and model apartments opening on schedule and in excellent conditionProvide outstanding customer service to residents and future residentsTake pride in the apartment community; visually inspect and address areas of concern, keep community clean and report service needs to maintenance team membersMaintain an organized environment even during busy timesAnswer incoming phone calls and handle accordinglyBuild rapport with residents and future residentsWalk and inspect community regularly, paying close attention to vacant apartmentsThink safety first and ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected promptlyWilling to work flexible schedule including weekendsWork closely with Maintenance Supervisor to monitor and schedule make-readies and other maintenance activitiesUpdate online advertisingKnow your market by being abreast of competition and surrounding areaCommunicate effectively with residents, future residents, visitors, vendors and team members while presenting a positive, professional imagePerform additional duties as assigned by district or regional managerThings You NeedHigh School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferredThree or more years of experience in property management with at least one year as a Community ManagerBackground in supervision and successful track record for accomplishmentsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely mannerWilling to work flexible schedule including weekendsKnowledge of Yardi or other industry software preferredA sharp, professional appearanceMust be able to walk the property which includes climbing stairsAble to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, carry supplies and stand for extended periods of timeWhat We Will Provide YouSouth Oxford Management LLC provides a range of insurance options and benefits for our full-time team members. Salary : $46,000 - $74,000
