What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A CDL Delivery Driver- Home Every Night & Weekends Off position at South Holland Bakery Supply?
Seeking a full time Class A CDL (Delivery) Driver to make pickups and deliveries in the Midwest area (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin). Both straight truck and tractor trailers are used in our fleet and you must be willing to touch freight. You must be physically capable for a labor-intensive job.
No over the road or regional routes, you will be home every night.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Start time 4am
- Start at the warehouse and follow designated route
- Willing to unload freight into customer storage area using dolly and electric pallet jack.
- Full time position
- 50-60 hours per week
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to use electronic logs
- Class A CDL license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Current medical card
- Experience delivering food products is preferred but not required.
- Minimum 1-year CDL Class A Driving Experience is Required.
- Must be able to Read, Write & Communicate in English.
- Manual Lifting / Labor Intensive
