In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including geriatrics, acute care, and transitional care. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and be skilled in various aspects of patient support.
Duties
As a Nursing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs to ensure patient health is maintained.
- Providing catheter care and assisting with mobility needs.
- Documenting patient care accurately in medical records using systems like Point Click Care.
- Supporting patients with memory care and critical care needs as required.
- Collaborating with nursing staff to implement care plans effectively.
- Engaging with patients to provide emotional support and companionship.
Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience or training in geriatrics, acute care, or transitional care preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
