JOB LOCATION : Psychiatry
DEPARTMENT: PSYCHIATRY
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, Mon-Thurs 8-5 Friday 8-12
POSITION SUMMARY
Assists APRN and physician by preparing patient for examination. Assist with patient care including procedures Must be able to accurately transcribe into patients electronic medical record. Performs clerical duties and must be able to operate office equipment, computer. Assist in scheduling and obtaining precerts for surgeries. May perform phlebotomy with no waived testing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
One year experience in clinical area preferred.
Current CPR Certification.
General office skills and medical terminology preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Works primarily in the medical office setting, consistent shift and unit. Requires moderate to frequent lifting (excess of 50 lbs), bending, and assisting in same, using correct techniques. Must be able to operate office equipment, computer terminals and keyboards, computerized lab equipment. Likely to be exposed to blood and body fluids and infectious diseases. Requires extensive walking during shift.
