We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Statewide Engagement Specialist to serve as a vital connector within our community. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement statewide outreach strategies to connect with underserved communities and high-risk populations.
- Build strong partnerships with landlords, property managers, community organizations, and local agencies to promote housing assistance programs such as Section 8 and LIHTC.
- Conduct case management activities, including needs assessments, service planning, and follow-up support for individuals facing housing insecurity or mental health challenges.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in overcoming barriers related to housing stability, addiction recovery, or mental health conditions.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring immediate safety and connecting clients with appropriate mental health or social services.
- Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; track engagement efforts and client progress diligently.
- Stay informed on Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, and other relevant legal frameworks to ensure compliance during all interactions.
Experience
- Proven experience in social work, case management, or community outreach within underserved populations.
- Strong knowledge of housing assistance programs including Section 8, LIHTC, and related federal or state initiatives.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, crisis management, and conflict resolution with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with property management systems like Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions or substance use challenges; addiction counseling background is a plus.
- Ability to navigate complex regulations such as Fair Housing laws and landlord-tenant statutes confidently.
- Exceptional communication skills combined with a proactive attitude to motivate clients toward positive outcomes.

Pay: $55,950.00 per year
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) (Preferred)
