Nursing Clinical Operations Administrator Description
South College invites applications for the position of Nursing Clinical Operations Specialist at the South College Indianapolis campus. We are searching for a team-oriented, highly organized, and focused professional who proactively problem solve with accountability and focuses on continued process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and manage all clinical compliance documentation for nursing students (e.g., immunizations, CPR certification, TB testing, liability insurance, etc.)
- Coordinate background checks and drug screenings in accordance with clinical site policies.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations related to student placement.
- Serve as the liaison between the nursing program and clinical sites for compliance requirements.
- Coordinate entrance exam scheduling with new student applicants.
- Educate students and faculty on clinical compliance processes, deadlines, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate records using compliance software or systems (e.g., CastleBranch, & ACEMAPP).
- Notify students and administration of non-compliance and facilitate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with clinical faculty and staff to prepare students for placement.
- Generate reports for accrediting bodies, internal audits, and site evaluations.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement to enhance efficiency and student experience.
- Stay current on changing compliance requirements from clinical partners and regulators.
- Coordinate rotations of students through clinical sites.
- Organize procedures for the orientation of students and faculty to clinical sites.
- Ensure all required documentation is obtained for all students and faculty prior to clinical assignments.
- Disseminate all required and requested documents to clinical agencies prior to the start of clinical assignments.
- Utilize required clinical and academic data management systems with expertise and train students/faculty as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the Nursing Programs and the clinical sites.
- Provide faculty and students with up-to date changes in clinical requirements, procedures at clinical sites, etc.
- Plan, organize, and attend clinical affiliation and Program Advisory Committee meetings.
- Assist with curricular/policy changes and departmental planning/ evaluation as requested by ACEN, CCNE, the Nursing Clinical Coordinator, Assistant /or Associate Dean of Nursing, and the Dean of Nursing.
Education
- Associate's degree in any field required.
- Bachelor's degree in any field; or CNA, MA, or tech experience preferred
- Proficiency with databases and compliance tracking platforms.
- Highly organized and focused professional who proactively problem solves with accountability and focuses on continued process improvements.
- Able to work independently as well as within a group to meet deadlines.
- Experience in healthcare compliance, clinical education, or academic administration preferred.
