Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air, water, gas or waste disposal systems.

- Supervise and assist in installation and emergency repair of plumbing systems, underground utilities and sewer systems statewide.
- Submit requisitions and estimated costs on routine maintenance and institutional repairs.
- Instruct and train personnel in the operation of plumbing, sewer and underground utility systems.
- Perform required tests and collect data to improve and maintain efficiency and performance of all related systems.

SCDC Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma and 5 years of trades experience directly related fire/sprinkler systems to the area of employment.
- Must be able to supervise, direct, instruct and work with other people.
- Employees are also required to obtain a backflow tester license through DHEC.
