Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
Prefer 2 years of accounting or accounting related experience.

- Assist in preparing and maintaining institution's budget.
- Prepare and maintain requisitions/records for supplies, contracts and materials.
- Maintain filing system for requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, vouchers, printouts and correspondence relating to budget.
- Maintain distribution of petty cash transactions and reimbursement requests.
- Assist in reporting payphones and personal identification requests.
- Prepare and maintain records for special funds accounts.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for outside medical care to inmates and handle Inmate requests for reimbursement for damage/loss of property.
- Assist with fixed asset audits and reports.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of inmate pay.
- Photograph and replace inmate IDs.
- Process all inmate ID paperwork as needed.
