What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Source One Technical Solutions?
Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to a major utilities company in Newark, NJ.
Title: Financial Analyst (Contractor)
Rate: $42.25/hr (W-2)
Hybrid: 3 days in office | 2 days remote
Duration: 8 months with possible extension
Job Description:
• Generate and analyze SAP financial reports to track O&M and capital actuals against budgeted plans
• Extract and compile historical SAP Capital expenditure line-item data into Excel
• Perform line-item data extractions from SAP to investigate and analyze actual variances on internal orders
• Maintain and update SAP internal order groups to ensure accurate data structures for O&M variance reporting
• Collaborate with Electric Operations stakeholders to facilitate accurate and timely monthly work order settlement corrections
• Support month-end close reporting and variance analysis
Requirements:
• Strong working knowledge of SAP systems
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• 2-5 years of financial analyst or FP&A experience
• Experience supporting month-end close
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is preferred
• Experience with capital projects, utilities, manufacturing, engineering, or other asset-intensive industries is a plus
