An a Testing & Automation Engineer to drive software quality through automation, performance testing, and modern quality engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Automation Frameworks & CI/CD
- Enhance and maintain automation frameworks and testing tools.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality validation.
- Improve test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts through scalable automation strategies.
Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis and work closely with development teams to implement fixes.
- Ensure consistent quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Performance & Load Testing
- Design and execute performance, scalability, and load testing initiatives.
- Analyze application performance and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Utilize performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, Locust, or similar platforms.
AI-Powered Testing
- Leverage AI-assisted testing tools for test case generation, test data creation, and coverage optimization.
- Apply intelligent testing approaches to improve defect detection and testing efficiency.
- Explore emerging AI-driven quality engineering methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or automation testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as:
- Selenium
- Cypress
- Playwright
- REST Assured
- Postman
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools including:
- JMeter
- Gatling
- k6
- Locust
- Experience using AI-assisted testing tools and automation practices.
- Understanding of REST APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps environments.
- Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot test scripts using languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
