Our client is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our development organization and help create reliable, high-performance software for complex systems. In this role, you will contribute to designing, building, and validating software components that play a key role in our next generation of technology solutions.
This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona and follows a hybrid working model. The role reports to a senior engineering leader.
You’ll be part of a team that influences product performance, safety, and user experience—delivering software that meets rigorous quality expectations used in highly regulated environments.
What You’ll Do
- Work across all stages of the software development process—requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, integration, and verification—aligned with aviation compliance standards (DO-178B or similar).
- Partner with engineers from multiple disciplines to clarify technical needs and deliver robust, well-tested code.
- Support the creation of technical documents, functional specifications, and user-facing materials.

Must-Have Qualifications
- At least two years of hands-on software development experience.
- Proficiency in embedded C or similar low-level programming languages.
- Familiarity with source control tools and modern development environments.
- Understanding of structured development approaches and lifecycle methodologies.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience developing software for embedded or aerospace systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
- Genuine interest in keeping skills current and expanding technical knowledge.
