Overview
We are seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to lead the design of high-impact consumer products from concept through mass production. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented designer who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences. You will translate insights into innovative solutions while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and aesthetic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Design Ownership: Lead product development from ideation to production, owning both creative vision and execution.
- User Experience & Design Quality: Elevate product design through attention to proportion, surface, detailing, and overall user experience.
- Design for Manufacturing: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to create manufacturable solutions without compromising design intent.
- Innovation & Creative Leadership: Introduce breakthrough ideas, stay ahead of material and design trends, and inspire the team with fearless creativity.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Product Development, CMF, UI/UX) and mentor junior designers.
- Visual Communication: Deliver compelling storytelling through sketches, CAD models, renderings, and presentation decks.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Industrial Design or related field (MS preferred)
- 5 years of experience designing physical products in consumer, lifestyle, or technology categories
- Proven ability to manage the full product development cycle independently
- Expert in 2D/3D design tools: Sketching, Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks/Rhino, Keyshot
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-launch execution
- Deep understanding of materials, part design, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles
- Excellent storytelling, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, agile environments
