Senior Manufacturing Associate – Downstream Bioprocessing & Purification
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Work Arrangement: On-site, full-time
Schedule: Overnight shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, on a rotating 12-hour schedule
Role Overview
An opportunity is available for a Senior Manufacturing Associate to support downstream biopharmaceutical manufacturing and therapeutic protein production. This role focuses on purification processes, cGMP compliance, equipment troubleshooting, documentation, and supporting team performance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute downstream manufacturing processes, including chromatography and filtration.
- Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), cGMP, and GDP requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment and process issues to support timely resolution.
- Review and approve batch records and logbooks, and contribute to deviation investigations.
- Train, mentor, and support manufacturing associates in purification processes and best practices.
- Coordinate material movements and ensure production areas are prepared for manufacturing activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- At least one year of downstream bioprocessing experience, with additional biotechnology industry experience required.
- Knowledge of purification processes and filtration techniques.
- Understanding of cGMP, manufacturing documentation, and process flow.
- Experience training or mentoring colleagues in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred.
Schedule
The role follows a rotating overnight schedule of 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM:
- Two days on, two days off
- Three days on, two days off
- Two days on, three days off
The cycle repeats.
