About the Role:
The Quality Lab Senior Supervisor will oversee the QC Particulate Matter (PM) Laboratory, ensuring testing is performed in compliance with USP <1790> and USP <788> standards. This position leads a team of 10–12 lab professionals, providing supervision, training, and performance management while supporting all microbiology lab operations during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead night shift operations for the QC Particulate Matter Lab, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage personnel, performance evaluations, and team development.
- Conduct and review non-conformance investigations using TrackWise.
- Oversee testing, data recording, and result reviews according to cGMP and procedural standards.
- Support microbiology lab activities and troubleshooting during night operations.
- Ensure laboratory safety practices are followed and continuously improved.
- Implement cross-training and ongoing staff education.
- Facilitate documentation review and ensure timely data submission for product release.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science field (Biology, Microbiology, or related).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with applied experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
- Strong understanding of FDA, cGMP, GLP, and USP methodologies.
- Skilled in aseptic technique and microbiological testing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Effective multitasker with strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to foster teamwork, open communication, and a culture of accountability.
Working Conditions:
- Night shift role (7pm–7am), with potential overtime as required.
