Job Summary:
Our client, a leading organization in the financial and risk management space, is seeking a Risk & Compliance Specialist to support key initiatives across the enterprise. This role plays a vital part in assessing risks, strengthening compliance practices, and partnering with business teams to uphold governance standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with business teams to identify, assess, and document risk and compliance controls related to products, services, regulations, third-party operations, and operational changes.
- Present findings and insights to process owners, governance groups, and leadership stakeholders.
- Support the rollout of updated risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and processes to enhance enterprise-wide risk awareness.
- Execute assigned compliance and risk activities in alignment with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment and emerging trends; evaluate new requirements and recommend action plans.
- Assist in managing regulatory requests, examinations, and audit responses.
- Contribute to the enhancement of tools, processes, and methodologies used to measure, track, and report risk exposures.
- Analyze data to develop insights that guide decision-making and influence risk mitigation strategies.
- Participate in cross-functional efforts to identify and address emerging risk events.
- Support the development and execution of stress testing activities, including evaluation of results and risk scenarios.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- 4 years of experience in risk, compliance, audit, legal, or related fields within financial services, insurance, or a similarly regulated sector.
- Experience working within matrixed teams and cross-functional environments.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry compliance expectations.
- Ability to provide constructive challenge in business discussions and decision-making forums.
- Strong analytical abilities with knowledge of risk indicators, data interpretation, and problem-solving tools.
- Proactivity in identifying potential risks and recommending effective solutions.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What Sets You Apart:
- Professional certifications such as CRISC, CC, CIAM, Security , CySA , CIMP, CFE, CAMS, or similar (preferred but not required).
- Experience supporting second-line risk or oversight functions, especially within cybersecurity-related domains.
- Ability to interpret risk trends, propose mitigation strategies, and effectively communicate insights.
- Strong reporting skills, with experience preparing risk summaries or presenting findings to leadership.
- Familiarity with workflow or documentation tools such as JIRA.
- Exposure to security tools such as Splunk, Tanium, Qualys, CyberArk, Fusion, Okta, Azure AD, or SailPoint.

Salary : $85,040 - $162,550
