Role Overview
An experienced Applications Analyst is required to support the design, implementation, and optimisation of clinical and business systems. Operating at a senior level, this role involves working independently while also guiding junior team members.
You will play a key part in translating operational and clinical requirements into effective technical solutions, ensuring systems are aligned with organisational goals and deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse business and clinical requirements to define system solutions
- Develop functional specifications and oversee system configuration and implementation
- Lead system upgrades, installations, and enhancements
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced analysts
- Coordinate and support end-user activities, including training and go-live assistance
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions across departments
- Evaluate workflows and recommend system or process improvements
- Create and execute test plans for new systems and upgrades, ensuring quality and consistency
- Review documentation and testing outputs produced by team members
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and provide ongoing system support
- Maintain accurate system and operational documentation
- Contribute to policy and procedure development
- Participate in on-call support rotations
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members
Required Qualifications
- Certification in Epic Radiant (essential)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- At least 4 years of experience in IT, ideally within a healthcare environment
- Alternatively, a combination of IT and clinical experience may be considered
- Advanced knowledge within application support and systems analysis
- Ability to manage tasks independently and coordinate small teams when required
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in standard business tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce clear and structured documentation
Preferred Experience
- Degree in a relevant field
- Additional certifications or experience with healthcare applications
