A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking an Electrical & Automation Engineer to support plant automation, process control systems, and electrical engineering projects within a large-scale production environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in PLCs, automation systems, electrical infrastructure, and industrial process optimisation who wants to work on high-impact operational and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and improve plant Process Control Systems (PCS)
- Support automation programming, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Lead electrical system upgrades and integration of new plant equipment
- Work closely with maintenance, production, and process engineering teams
- Improve plant reliability, efficiency, OEE, and equipment lifecycle performance
- Support PLC integration, relay logic conversion, and automation optimisation
- Provide expertise in:
- PLCs & process control systems
- Instrumentation & drives
- Motors, transformers & power distribution
- Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Industrial communication networks (Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet)
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote strong safety and compliance standards across plant operations
Ideal Profile
β Bachelorβs Degree in Electrical Engineering
β 2 years of experience in industrial electrical or automation engineering
β Experience within cement, heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, or similar environments preferred
β Working knowledge of PLC systems such as ABB 800xA or Siemens S7
β Experience with instrumentation, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial automation systems
β Familiarity with SAP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
β Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
β Ability to work cross-functionally within plant operations
β High initiative, self-starter mindset, and strong organizational skills
