Our Client is seeking an entry‑level Desktop Support professional to join their IT support team. This is a hands-on, on‑site opportunity ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in end-user support, networking, and enterprise IT operations.
This is a 100% onsite role. Remote or work‑from‑home options are not available.
What You’ll Do
- Support day-to-day operations of LAN-based network environments
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software
- Provide support for voice and communication systems, including cabling, phones, headsets, and related applications
- Perform structured cabling for new and existing locations to support network and telephony equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade desktop and laptop systems
- Deliver Tier 1 support for hardware and software issues
- Help manage and track IT equipment inventory across locations
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by IT leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Current student, recent graduate, or professional with computer-related education or hands-on IT experience
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing concepts
- Experience supporting network hardware in distributed environments
- Exposure to virtual networking environments (VMware preferred)
- Familiarity with enterprise networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with routers, switches, firewalls, NICs, and telecom devices
- Understanding of VoIP technologies and VoIP over WAN environments
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Flexible availability and willingness to work additional hours when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or Relevant technical certifications with equivalent practical experience
