Account Executive – Enterprise Direct Sales

Location: Pittsburgh, PA


Overview

Seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to sell commercial Internet, Voice, and Video solutions to mid-size and large businesses. This role focuses on full-cycle direct sales, territory growth, and relationship development within designated regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-person sales presentations and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and manage a sales territory, building partnerships and generating leads through cold calling, canvassing, referrals, and networking.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to drive retention and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and prepare activity reports.
  • Stay updated on competitive offerings and emerging technologies.
  • Attend off-site client meetings regularly; schedule may require evenings, weekends, and overtime.

Technical Knowledge (Preferred)

  • Network design basics (DSx, OC-x, WDM, Ethernet).
  • Internet voice technologies (VoIP).
  • LAN/WAN/VPN and network protocols (Layers 1–3).
  • Customer Premise Equipment (voice/data).
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery concepts.
  • E-rate processes.

What They’re Looking For

  • 5–7 years of relevant sales experience, especially in direct enterprise sales.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and own the full sales cycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
