Account Executive – Enterprise Direct Sales
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Overview
Seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to sell commercial Internet, Voice, and Video solutions to mid-size and large businesses. This role focuses on full-cycle direct sales, territory growth, and relationship development within designated regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver in-person sales presentations and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and manage a sales territory, building partnerships and generating leads through cold calling, canvassing, referrals, and networking.
- Maintain strong client relationships to drive retention and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate sales records and prepare activity reports.
- Stay updated on competitive offerings and emerging technologies.
- Attend off-site client meetings regularly; schedule may require evenings, weekends, and overtime.
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
- Network design basics (DSx, OC-x, WDM, Ethernet).
- Internet voice technologies (VoIP).
- LAN/WAN/VPN and network protocols (Layers 1–3).
- Customer Premise Equipment (voice/data).
- Business continuity and disaster recovery concepts.
- E-rate processes.
What They’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of relevant sales experience, especially in direct enterprise sales.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and own the full sales cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
