A social services nonprofit based in NYC is looking to add an HR Assistant/Specialist who will assist the onboarding team with new hire onboarding for one of their programs. The ideal candidate has experience with Paycom, is a clear communicator (written/verbal) and has experience supporting compliance and related administrative human resources items. The specialist should be familiar with onboarding processes including fingerprinting, education/references checks, and compliance items. This is a project-based position and expected to last one to three months.
Requirements:
- Data entry
- I-9 verification and document inspection
- Sending email blasts/reminders to candidates in the onboarding process
- Making candidate calls
- Completing IT checklists in PDF
Preferred Skills:
- 1 year of experience in a professional work setting
- PAYCOM, or similar program
- Interest in HR/TA
- Attention to detail and follow-up
- Non-profit experience
Compensation: $20-22/hr
